Green Roof Seed Mix - Wildflowers Only

Seed mix of drought tolerant native wildflowers, suitable for establishing a low maintenance and diverse green roof with a substrate of more than 75mm. Although a green roof won't be as complex or diverse as a natural habitat it is a great way of helping wildlife in an urban setting, particularly when planted with wildflowers rather than sedums. Counter-intuitively, they also have an extended life as the waterproofing is protected from extremes of weather, and also help with insulation and water runoff. They do need to be carefully designed and built, however. We recommend an experienced consultant who can offer a full design, supply, and installation service for green roofs, living walls, and brown roofs (to most closely recreate ground conditions). Please contact us for details. For small scale projects, this excellent guide is available online. We also supply an appropriate plug plant selection for green roofs.
