Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium pratense)

Meadow cranesbill, Geranium pratense, is found in the wild throughout Britain, although it is rare in East Anglia and the west country. It is one of the parents of 'Johnson's Blue', one of the stalwarts of the cottage garden, and itself looks lovely in a formal garden setting. Meadow cranesbill flowers are held above its foliage, and are favourites of bumblebees - honeybees are regular visitors too, as in this photo. We can also help you with Wood cranesbill, Geranium sylvaticum - just ask.

We supply Meadow cranesbill in our selected wildflower trays and seed mixes, but we also sell it here on its own as seed, 55cc plug plants or in more generous half litre pots.
