About Your Plug Plants & Initial Care
Thank you for choosing our wildflower plug plants. The nursery which grows them is pesticide and peat free, so they have been properly brought up!
Your plants will have been in transit for a maximum of 24 hours (48 hours for Highlands and islands), but they might look a bit limp when you open their box. This is due to sudden temperature changes, and will quickly pass.
When they arrive, open their box straight away and water them. If you're not planning to plant or the time being just leave them somewhere sheltered and keep them moist.
If you're planting into existing grass, cut it very short beforehand to give the plants the best chance of establishment. Don't add any fertilizers or compost - wildflowers do best without them.
