Apple Tree - Anglesey Pig's Snout

Anglesey Pig's Snout (Trwyn Mochyn) is a rare old Welsh apple, and is so called after the shape of its fruit. Its large green apples can be eaten uncooked, and used to be wrapped in pastry and baked to be eaten in the field by labourers. They also keep well - until January, if kept cool - and their taste mellows until they can be eaten. The tree crops heavily and is very disease resistant.

Your purchase helps us support a range of charities, which are related to the products we sell.

See our section on Pollination Groups to help you select your apple trees.
The rootstock for all our apple trees is the most vigorous available. We try to offer as many apple varieties as we can on M25 rootstock, which will produce the standard trees of a traditional orchard, where they would be planted between 6 and 8 metres apart. MM106, or M106, produces a good sized garden tree. Please refer to our size guide for details.
Like all our apple trees, we offer Anglesey Pig's Snout bare root. At the height of the lifting season there may be up to a month's delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders for apple trees taken from March to September are confirmed in September ready for dispatch from November. Please note there is an overall minimum order size of £100.

Have a look at our videos on what to do when your plants arrive and how to plant a bare root tree.
