Plum Tree - Coe's Golden Drop

Coe's Golden Drop is arguably the very best flavoured of all dessert plums; it has a delicious sweet apricot like flavour. Golden Drop plums are a pretty golden-yellow speckled with a cinnamon coloured bloom, with a very sweet, rich, apricot-like flavour. The tree owes its name to its propagator Jervais Coe, the head gardener of the Gage estate at Bury St. Edmunds, who is said to have crossed a Green Gage with a White Magnum Bonum to have created it. It needs a sunny sheltered site to prosper and is self-sterile, so needs a pollinator.

Will grow to be a mature tree of around 3.5m

Supplier: R.V. Roger Ltd.

All our plum trees, including Coe's Golden Drop, are bare root, so they are only available between November and April. During lifting season, there will be a delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders taken from June-October will be confirmed in late October/ early November after a nursery stock take, for dispatch from November. Please consult our planting and care guide on receipt of your order.

Your purchase helps us support a range of charities, which are related to the products we sell.
