Plum Tree - Rivers' Early Prolific
Introduced by the renowned nurseryman Thomas Rivers of Sawbridgeworth, Rivers' Early Prolific makes a small compact plum tree with small round purple fruit. The flesh is golden yellow, and when fully ripe the plums make for very pleasant eating - firm but sweet. Rivers' Early Prolific is excellent for cooking and bottling. Although this variety is self fertile, yields are likely to be improved by planting with an appropriate pollinator.
They will grow up to over 3.5m.
